“In Memory of the Mirabal Sisters”

6

From “Ahora” magazine, the cover of this issue features an intense imagery of the Mirabal sisters, notable revolutionaries in Dominican Republic credited for beginning the resistance against the dictatorship in Dominican Republic in the 60s. The illustration is sketched over a saffron background, with red splattered across them mimicking blood. The title reads “In Memory of the Mirabal Sisters”, making this magazine issue a tribute to them. At the top, the logo of the magazine sits in a red box in the upper left corner, with “Special Edition” set in blue goes across an ivory bar in the upper left corner.
