¡Ahora! Magazine “Graphics & Documents of the Revolution”

6

Part of the “Ahora” Magazine series, this magazine cover features a crumpled ivory background, likely to have been aged from time, exhibits the logo in large black, bold letters across the top. Underneath is the issue number and date in a strong blue monospaced type. Featured in a striking composition, there is a scribbled sketch of a military soldier in the same blue from the above type, drawn with a slight stylization in his posture and proportions. Across him is a harsh red rectangle with text reading, “Graphics and Documents of the Revolution”. At the bottom, following the color palette in blue, reads the cost of the magazine issue: a whopping 50 cents.

This publication was released during the height of the revolution against Rafael Trujillo, the dictator of Dominican Republic at the time.
