The item in question is my grandfather's bible that he had in World War II. This bible has had many owners before even my grandpa, all documented in the first page behind the metal sheet covering the cover. My grandpa held it in a chest pocket near his heart so that if a bullet may have struck him there, the bible would have stopped it. Currently I am the rightful owner of the Bible, as it was handed down to me. The Bible has been through both World War II and the Iraq War.
