John Wagner & Sons Assam Tea Tin

1

Black and yellow John Wagner & Sons Assam Tea Tin. On one side they tell you the tea notes alongside where it originated, and they also tell you the brewing instructions, on both side panels they showcase their label with a ship, slogan, and name of the product. On the front panel, you will see various typefaces that discuss the brand and tea flavor.

There is little known about John Wagner & Sons' company due to a lack of online publications. From what I could gather the company John Wagner & Sons The Ivyland, PA was founded in 1847 though eventually it was sold to another company called “Rose Spice” in 1996. The teas themselves were sold as gifts or large quantities of the loose-leaf teas were sold in a treasure chest-like container. At this point in time all that is left are the tins.
