Dell “The Game Kit” No. 2

The Game Kit No. 2 was published by Dell Publishing company in 1956. It is a softcover paperback folder with a collection of 8 different board games. Two are still preserved inside this copy including: Turnabout and Lucky Five. The other boards are missing. Its dominated by bright primary colors and highly illustrative. The Game Kit was apart of a series of games launched by Dell in the mid twentieth century during a resurgence and evolution of board games in America. More specifically board games that can be easily taken traveling, and takes up minimal space. It became a very successful traveling board game, played by kids all over the country.
