This comic book is a collection of snippets from four different comic books. The first is titled “Secret Agent X-9” and was illustrated by Alex Raymond in 1934. However, this book only has a chronology of the series Secret Agent X-9. The second is titled “Capt. Easy & Wash Tubs” by Leslie Turner in 1950, and the third by Ham Fisher is titled “Joe Palooka” and is about boxing. The last issue of the book, titled “Hairbreadth Harry” by C. W. Kahles, is the oldest of all the stories and was originally published in 1923. This comic, in particular, is accompanied by an introduction written by Leonardo Gori. This edition of Exploit Comics was published in January of 1977.
There are 51 editions of Exploit Comics, spanning from 1977 to 1991. The designer(s) of the comic book itself are unknown. This book is published by G.A.F. in Florence.
Translating the first paragraph on the back of this book, it reads, “Alfa Cure, founded in Florence on March 21, 1949, is an apolitical association whose aims are the dissemination of sporting activities as well as the promotion of cultural, artistic, tourist, and recreational activities, aimed at the financial and moral education of its members, and in particular of young people.” Alfa Cure is most likely the company associated with G.A.F.
Finding information on this book and series of books is difficult because it is a collective item for comic book lovers.
