This is an old Call book from the 1950s to 1960s that amateur radio enthusiasts used to see listings of active call signals for the series of letters and numbers required for identifying radio signals. The front and back cover both contain illustrated elements. The most recognizable is the “flying horse” which would have its design changed around the 1990s-1997s where the design would not be as illustrated as its former but still iconic. The typography on the cover is hand-drawn indicated by the baseline and is jumbled (letters not on one single line).
Another fun fact about amateur radio enthusiasts is that they can respond to various things and ham radio still exists today. Some things that amateur radio enthusiasts can react to are talking to people worldwide without the internet or cell phone, responding to emergency communications, and experimenting with digital communication and satellite operations. Amateur radio enthusiasts also seem to have somewhat of a union group where amateur radio enthusiasts get calls from the International Amateur Radio Union (IARU) to respond to common matters of concern.
