Sharing for Survival Animation

This is a computer animation created in 1984 to express the mission of the United Nations University located in Tokyo.

Featuring a 3D globe, the animation morphs text,  illustrations, and images in and out of the globe while a narrator explains the mission of UNU and importance of international interdependence.

As computer 3D animation was in its infancy stages when this work was created, Ota collaborated with British and American companies and individuals to create and the software and hardware required for rendering. The final animation was then narrated in 11 languages to allow the widest distribution to UN member states.
