Logo of the Ministry of Economy, trade and Industry (METI)
This logo, for the Japanese Ministry of Economy, trade and Industry (METI), was designed by Yukio Ota in 1975. Commissioned for METI's 25 anniversary, the the logo features a blue and white design on the left with black text on the right.
For the Japanese version of the logo, the text is Kanji along with the organizations full name in English. The English features both the agency's acronym (METI) along with it's full name.
The graphic consists of 6 elements, 4 blue and 2 white, overall representing the relationship between industry and trade, completing as a hexagon intended to represent interoperability with other government ministries.
