Sharaku movie poster 

This movie poster was designed by Katsumi Asaba for the movie Sharaku, produced by Shochiku Co. Ltd. The typography he employs stands out the most, as the two kanji at the top are big, white, and bolded. They are also depicted more sophisticatedly and clearly, drawing more attention to them. The kabuki in the center, being split into parts, draws attention to the other typefaces in the poster, albeit small. He utilizes negative space to place the text. The overall poster appears direct and clear-cut.
