U2 45rpm Vinyl, single Vertigo
This record is by U2 and the songs were released in 2004. The Irish Rock band released the song “Vertigo” on this vinyl. “Vertigo” was released as a single before their album “How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb” was released. This 7 inch vinyl was the only way to listen to the song in the United States because they did not release a CD of “Vertigo” in the States.
This 7 inch vinyl has a white background label with four bold, black, horizontal stripes within the top half of the label. Within the stripes there is information about copyright and down the left side there is a small sans serif black type that gives credit to everyone who worked on the song. At the bottom there is a thick red horizontal line with “U2// Vertigo” written in black and white. It also mentions their album at the bottom and there is a logo over to the right side in black.
The vinyl would have been made by pressing vinyl under intense heat and pressure, and then adding the label afterwards. There are slight grooves on each side that allow for different songs to be played by putting the vinyl on a record player. U2 fans in America would have been buying these very quickly because there was not a CD option, so this vinyl was played on record players.
