Takeuchi Seihō (1864-1942)

A prewar Japanese painter and a pioneer of modern Japanese painting.

Seiho produced many animal paintings and is respected as a master of animal painting for his outstanding descriptive ability. This work was designated as an Important Cultural Properties in 1970.
