This two-part design piece was designed by the late-great Nagi Noda. She was a Japanese pop artist and art director born in Tokyo. She mostly worked freelance and did many campaigns for major brands such as Nike, Kirin, Coco-cola, Panasonic, and of course Laforet. She also collaborated with the American artist, Mark Ryden on their brand, Broken Label. Her parents had a significant impact on her art. She mentioned that they would often have her watch television in black and white to help her imagine color. They would also take her to look at UFOs.
These are advertisements for the shopping building, Laforet. The first image has Laforet Spring in pink psychedelic text at the top. Noda wanted to capture how young women fantasize about their dream weddings, the model being the young girl in the images. The girl is poking her head inside a small church with dolls serving as the bridal party and guests. But her fantasies end up becoming too surreal and her tongue stretches out and becomes the bride's virgin road.
