Kajita Hanko (1870–1917)

Dimensions; 13.8 x 8.8 cm (5 7/16 x 3 7/16 in.)

Young women at the time admired the hairstyles and kimono styles of schoolgirls drawn by Hanko, and the term "Hanko schoolgirls (半古の女学生)'' was coined.
This work depicts a female student from the Meiji era, whose pale yellow kimono with a pattern of small blue flowers catches the eye of the viewer.
