Coyote Grill, the second venture for the PB&J restaurant entrepreneurs, was an early success as a casual dining spot serving Southwestern fare. The identity, designed in 1989, carved out a unique brand that referenced the Tex-Mex style of the menu. A triangular motif frames elongated hand-drawn type, bringing Western iron cattle branding to mind. Patrice's design process began by hand, and only after the concept was finalized was it produced on the computer by her staff. This identity began Patrice's lengthy and successful collaboration with PB&J . Both PB&J and Patrice enjoyed success through their work together.
