Grand Street Cafe identity

9

The Grand Street Cafe's informal "French cafe" concept is captured with elan and adorned signage, menus, and interior spaces in the thriving Kansas City Plaza favorite. The identity reveals the spontaneous designer-as-artist and evokes a wood block art print with a hand-drawn and stencil-inspired font. The earthy palette with a splash of red translated well to less costly one-color printing applications for collateral like napkins and matchbooks. Patrice's design process began as pencil explorations and moved to computer production only after the design was final. Patrice continued to collaborate on many successful restaurant identities with this client.
