Sugiura Hisui who known as a pioneer of Japanese design, was born in Matsuyama, Ehime Prefecture in 1876. He joined the Mitsukoshi Kimono Store in 1908 and worked for 27 years as a designer for the store's posters and propaganda magazine covers. In this magazine cover, there are two children and they have a wings like a butterfly on their back.
