The Nintendo DS version of the “Cooking Mama” game was a video game published by Nintendo December 2006. The cartridge is dark grey in color with a printed sticker graphic on the front displaying the game graphics along with brand logos. The title “Cooking Mama” appears in a which is a sans-serif font resembling Comic Sans. The type is red-orange in color and has a bubbled outline of white. The outline has a yellow gold outer glow around it as well. The background is a gingham light and medium blue pattern with an illustration of a cooking pan as well as a illustrated woman. The woman is positioned in a manner suggesting she is the tittle of the “I.” The printed sticker also includes the “Majesco” logo, the console logo, the game content rating, a red Nintendo company logo, a gold official Nintendo console seal and game code. Nintendo games have served as a significant part of many generation’s childhoods and remain an inspiration as well as point of growth for future generations. From a design standpoint this game serves as an example of nostalgic graphics, animations, and user interactions for future generations to look back upon, draw inspiration from, and learn from past faults.
