Ram Dass, once known as Harvard Professor Dr. Richard Alpert, wrote the famous cult classic called "Be Here Now" after visiting India. It was originally made into a pamphlet by the Llama Foundation community in New Mexico. The book talks about spirituality, yoga, and meditation. The main idea came from things Bhagavan Das said to Ram Dass during his travels in India. The first version of the book was called "From Bindu to Ojas" in 1970, and the expanded version, with its now famous title, was published in 1971. The illustrations were made by Steve and Barbara Durkee. Found while researching Postmodern design and yoga in the west.
