The Emergence of a University
This booklet tells the story of how the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC) was founded and how it has grown over the years. The booklet was compiled and edited by the Office of Information at UNC Charlotte at the time. Throughout the booklet, we see design elements such as the university's old logo as well as the layout choices made by the designer. The booklet showcases how UNCC started as Charlotte College and became a university in 1965. It also explains that there wasn't a detailed plan at first, but the leaders were committed to making UNCC a place that offered a wide range of programs to meet the needs of the growing community.
I found this booklet in the UNCC Archives on campus on the 10th floor of J. Murrey Atkins Library.
