This design was created by Hokuu Tada. This was created as an advertisement poster for one of the famous beer company called Kirin Beer. This poster is more of a painting and is depicted in what Japan would refer to as a “western style” of painting. It is inspired by the art style known as French impressionism. Furthermore, many Kirin posters of this era used women and were inspired by Bijin-ga. The woman in this poster is wearing Kimono but she has the Moga haircut which was a staple of modern women of this time.
