Petrans' Christmas card

6

A family Christmas card designed by James Edward Petran in 1949.  It has a Christmas hymn with an illustration of St. Cecilia's Church in Dallas, Texas.

He did the art and typography in ink, by hand and then printed the copies in half tone (this is one of those printed copies) on a thick yellow folded card. After printing, he went in and re-inked the lower section that says “Christmas Greetings.” The illustration was originally done in watercolor but then also printed in half tones.
