Alabama License Plate

This 1965 Alabama license plate is stylized in a solid navy blue and orange color scheme. Unlike modern license plates, this typography-based rendition has embossed sans-serif lettering and numbers. An embossed heart lies in the bottom left corner representing the “Heart of Dixie” text at the top of the plate. The heart first appeared on Alabama tags in 1955.
