Petrans' Christmas card

6

A family Christmas card designed by James Edward Petran in 1950. It depicts his family and their activities on Christmas Eve. Each family member has their own corresponding ornament that hangs on a tree with the nativity scene underneath.

He did the art and typography in ink, by hand and then printed the copies in half tone (this is one of those printed copies). After printing, he went in and painted the green onto the tree with watercolor paint.
