Monkey Baby (1989)

20

Monkey Baby (1989) was created on paper using watercolor, colored pencil, and pen. This work can be observed at the Aomori Museum of Art. The watercolor in this piece appears to blend into the background, creating a softer effect, while the pen and colored pencil strokes are more pronounced and harsh. The pen and colored pencil strokes are bold, predominantly featuring vibrant red tones, whereas the watercolors display softer hues of pink, purple, and yellow. The figure of the monkey baby is enlarged, occupying more than half of the page, and depicts an expressive face with tears.
