Yumeji Takehisa was born in 1884. Yumeji came to Tokyo in 1901 from Okayama. While he begun to gather attention as a graphic designer, he did illustration with painting blush and did exhibitions across Japan to gather funding. His paintings reflect his personal relationships including his romantic relationships and Japanese beauty.
