That Happy Dixieland Jazz - Jimmy McPartland and his Dixielanders

6

This vinyl entitled That Happy Dixieland Jazz was released by Jimmy McPartland and his Dixielanders, who were several of his old friends, back in 1865 during studio sessions back in May 26-27 of 1959. This record was an original Chicago style of Dixieland jazz released under RCA Victor’s Studio A in New York. The cover is a coated thin cardboard with a blurred-out background with the primary feature being a close of McPartland's face playing a trumpet. The color scheme resembles soft shades of orange, orange-yellow, and cream with a stretched glyphic serif album title. One of the Dixielanders, Dick Cary, included swinging arrangements that are creative yet leave plenty of room for vibrant soles that can be enjoyed by a wide audience, especially younger listeners.
