Christmas Angel Greeting Card
This greeting card was produced by the company Gibson Greetings. Gibson Greetings, Inc. is the nation's third largest greeting card manufacturer, ranking just behind Hallmark Cards, Inc. and American Greetings Corporation. This greeting card depicts an image of an angel pushing a wheelbarrow that contains four presents and one tree. The angel has a pink halo over her head and wings with a pink outline. This same pink is also used for the wheelbarrow tire, base, and the wrapping on the presents. The yellow and green are each found in 3 locations within the image. The tire and bucket include both. Yellow is also used for the angles hair and green is used for the tree. Blue is used once in the image for the angel’s dress. Outside of the image there are three stripes located at the bottom of the card-colored green, pink, and blue.
This Holiday greeting card contains many stars within the composition. These stars are located on the angel’s blue dress as well as on the wrapping paper for one of the presents. One of the stars is also incorporated into the word "greetings" located at the top left of the card. It is used as the dot above the "I". This card is most likely lithography considering that the Gibson & Company was established in the 1850s by the Gibson brothers who were considered Lithographers.
