Decca Records being one of the most popular record labels in music history, featured a variety of genres ranging from classical, folk, and electric. This specific record and sleeve features a vocal duet with chorus by Dolly Parton and Bill Phillips. The central vinyl design includes the title of the vinyl as well as the musicians featured. It also portrays the signature Decca logo along with a color stripe pattern that can be seen within many of the 1960 editions. The sleeve features Decca's star slogan stating “music wherever you go” as well as lists the phonographs and guitar types they produce for purchase to the public. The front of the sleeve is covered with a gradient red stripe design from the bottom up, leading up to the Decca Logo. Decca company began producing gramophones but felt as if they needed to make records as well. By the 1940s and 1950s, Decca Sound became known for quality records and were used to bring people happiness throughout the US and London. This object has clearly been used many times and has brought joy through music for generations. The sleeve is slightly discolored and is worn on the edges. The physical vinyl itself has round grooves in it, as I am sure it has been played many times. This company has created a forefront for popular music and has impacted the production industry.
