This poster was designed by Hideo Pedro Yamashita in 2001 for the Japan Ensemble at Orchestra Asia.  The poster shows the skillful use of brushstrokes reminiscent of Shodō. Yamashita created an abstract face using brushstrokes rather than using them to create typography. Also, the designer uses bright colors. This poster effectively combines Shodō tradition with modern graphic design.
