This T-shirt was designed by Jamie Read, using a promotion for the single “Anarchy in the UK” by the Sex Pistols. The shirt was from the Seditionaries collection by Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm McLaren.
Jamie Reid uses collage methods and cut-and-paste style, reminiscent of Dada and his interest in radical politics.
Reid's style developed once he became involved with the Situationist International, an avant-garde political group.
McLaren and Vivienne Westwood owned a boutique to sell their clothing designs, heavily influenced by the punk scene of New York at the time.
