The lion is quite blocky and geometric, not like a real lion but more like a child's drawing or a pattern made from shapes. It's got a rectangular body and its face is just a few lines and curves, almost like a simple mask or a character from an old story. The lion's body is covered in a dense pattern of tiny dots and specks, using lots of colors. It's as if someone took a paintbrush and flicked lots of different colored paints onto the lion's body. Despite the playful pattern, the lion has a serious look because it's holding a sword. The sword looks old-fashioned, kind of like what a knight might carry. The rug itself is mostly a light, sandy color, so the colorful dots and the dark outline of the lion really pop out. There's a thin border around the edge of the rug that has a simple design, so it doesn't distract from the big lion in the center.
