The Original 176 Emoji, 1999
Collection of the original 176 emoji, designed by Shigetaka Kurita at 25 years old exclusively for NTT Docomo in 1999 and only available in Japan, forming the basis for the emoji designs we use today. The original emoji were on display at MoMA in 2016 as part of the Inbox exhibition series.
