Wild Bird Society of Japan日本野鳥の会
This poster for the Wild Bird Society of Japan established in 1934 for purpose of protecting birds and their habitat and encouraging others to learn more about about the creatures. The designer Ryohei Kojima was better know for his advertisements for larger corporations such a Kikkoman but often said his heart lay in the graphic design work he did regarding wildlife preservation. He was largely influenced by designers of the bauhaus and often kept his designs colorful and simple so taht they could be enjoyed by many different kinds of people. This design in particular uses a simplified bird shape over a brown background with a modified seraph typeface in English while almost border on cursive. This gives the poster a sleek and sophisticated look which is nicely offset by the bright colors.
