A hand-pulled lithographic fine art movie poster produced by S2 Art Atelier in 2007. Each color was printed separately using a German Dufa press on cotton rag paper. It is a recreated work of art based on a poster designed by Grigory Brisov and Nikolay Prusakov in 1926. The Danish sci-fi movie premiered in Denmark in 1918 and made it to the U.S. by 1920. The silent film, produced by Nordisk Film, is about researchers who leave Earth and discover a peaceful civilization on Mars. It was originally called “Himmelskibbet.”
