Meiji Chocolate (明治チョコレート)

20

Masashi Ohashi was a graphic designer who was active at Daimaru Department Store and Dentsu. He became prominent after the war as a poster designer for Meiji Seika and Kikkoman. At Dentsu, he was involved in national policy propaganda through the external organization "Japan Propaganda Technicians Association" as the war intensified. Subsequently, he mainly worked on Meiji Seika poster designs for over 20 years and often used silk screen printing for posters because it was inexpensive and could be done quickly, which suited Japan's era of mass consumption.
