Little Nurse (Mentholatum)
Imatake Shichiro was a Japanese graphic designer from Kansai region. Before the war, he worked in the advertising departments of Daimaru Department Store and Takashimaya. However, he became independent after the war. In 1929, he co-founded the Kobe Commercial Art Research Society with Nakayama Iwata, and in 1937, he became one of the initiators of "Press Aruto." Throughout his life, he played a significant role in leading the design industry in Kansai both before and after the war. He worked on various projects including the trademark for company OMI Brotherhood featuring a nurse girl, as well as the corporate emblem for Kansai Electric Power Company, package designs for Kyowa, and the symbol mark for the Nankai Hawks baseball team.
