Mitsukoshi: The Seoul Branch Completed

This 1929 poster was created by Hisui Sugiura to promote the opening of the Mitsukoshi department store in Seoul. Similar to his other promotional posters for Mitsukoshi, this poster features the department store in the background as well as women, men, and children traveling to see the store's opening. In addition, the poster features women clad in both traditional and modern/western attire, further playing into the moga (modern women) and bijinga (beautiful women) influences during that time.
