“There is both the distributor who wants to reach the widest possible audience, the filmmaker with his or her own vision and me who tries to offer something original.” - Karine Savard

Based in Montreal, Karine Savard has been designing film posters since 2006. She graduated from Concordia University with a degree in Art and Design. Blue is Karine’s favorite color and she experiments with different hues of the color in many of her creations. She uses a lot of vibrant color, typographic expressions, and imagery to tell a story. She is also an extremely talented illustrator.

She has collaborated with several producers and distributors of fiction and documentary films such as “Micro_scope”, “Christal Films”, “Seville”, “Fun Films”, “Metropolis Films”, “Les Films on March 3rd”, “COOP Vidéo”, “Mongrel Media”, “Participant Media”, “VisitFilms”, “Organic Folkets”, “Filmcoopi,” and “Dreampixies”. She has created over a hundred film posters for the film industry in Quebec.

Her posters have won many Communication Arts Awards, a Lux Award, and were selected at the Mexico Poster Biennale. She is still producing posters in the film industry today, and serves as a female icon for modern poster design.
