Dubonnet Wine Poster Series

850

A.M Cassandre created this series after beginning his own advertising agency in 1930. This series of posters were some of the first posters ever created with the intention to be viewed by moving vehicles.  The three posters viewed while moving rapidly demonstrate the main character drinking wine.  The color in the posters is more apparent as the posters progress. The bold typeface allows people passing by to read it clearly. This poster paved the way for a popular type of advertising that is frequently used today.
