This logo from the 1999 Final Fantasy VIII game was designed by Amano Yoshitaka, who was born in 1952 in Shizuoka City, Japan. Amano Yoshitaka takes inspiration from Ukiyo-e, a style of Japanese woodblock printing, and Art Nouveau. Since 1987, he was involved in the design production of every Final Fantasy game released by Square Enix. The logo represents a key scene from the game involving two main characters, Squall and Rinoa, and the orange and yellow reflect the sunset's glow present in the in-game scene.
