Featuring the Futura typeface (a sans-serif typeface developed by Paul Renner and originally published by the Bauer Type Foundry in 1927), this Diatype font disc was made from glass and black film. The individual characters of the typeface are cut out around the disc to allow light to pass through them and print onto film.
