Soul Train

Soul Train, an American music variety television show, was the first to showcase African American musical artists and dancers prominently. It was the longest-running Black-owned TV show and one of the longest-running broadcasts in American television history, airing nationwide from 1971 until 2006. This TV show allowed the world to view African Americans' faces and elements and their unique experiences in American society. Each Soul Train program would end with the founder, Don Cornelius, saying: "Love, Peace, and Soul!”
