With the improvement of technology for different kinds of disabled people, there are changes showing the slow acceptance in society for the disabled. At a time when people with disabilities faced significant barriers and discrimination in the workplace, these posters aimed to highlight their potential as valuable workers and being able in the working field. Some posters portrayed disabled people engaged in various jobs, with captions asserting that they could be highly capable workers under the right conditions. Amos Evans distributed this advertisement with a photo of himself as a double amputee in a wheelchair when he ran for Bath Town Collector. This shows a case of disabled people actively expressing themselves in the working field.

By mid 1900s, there would be an increase in posters that represent that ability of disabled persons as abled workers and encouraged many to apply or employers to hire. Some included people in crutches or wheelchairs.
