Nat King Cole (1919–1965) was an American singer and jazz pianist who gained fame for his rich baritone voice and smooth vocal style. He was born Nathaniel Adams Coles in Montgomery, Alabama. Nat King Cole was one of the most successful and influential vocalists of the 20th century. Despite facing racial discrimination during his career, Nat King Cole became the first African American to host a nationally televised variety show, "The Nat King Cole Show," in the late 1950s. His contributions to music and his impact on breaking racial barriers in the entertainment industry have left a lasting legacy.

While Nat King Cole himself was not a graphic designer, his image and album covers have been subjects of graphic design throughout the years. Graphic designers play a crucial role in creating album covers, promotional materials, and other visual elements associated with musicians. Nat King Cole's albums often featured well-designed covers that reflected the style and mood of his music. The graphic design of his album covers typically incorporated elements such as typography, color schemes, and imagery that complemented the musical content.
