Original “Imagination” Air Jordan 2 Tech Sheet Poster

1

This extremely rare Air Jordan poster was published in 1987, coinciding with the 1986–1987 release of "Air Jordan’s 2." The shoe design seen on this specific poster was made by Bruce Kilgore and Peter Moore, albeit not much is known about it due to its rarity. This poster, in my opinion, is extremely important because it depicts an item that had an impact on pop culture in the 1980s. In the 1980s, Air Jordan's sneakers had a significant impact on hip-hop culture, which in turn influenced streetwear and sneaker culture, which grew into its subculture. Spending a lot of money on shoes, particularly those from the heyday of sneaker culture, was common among shoe collectors. Purchasing items that their favorite sportsmen would wear was popular, and nothing said the 1980s like Michael Jordan. Nike became one of the most renowned sports companies thanks in part to Michael Jordan. Old Air Jordan posters are still being sold for between $20 and $500. There must have been a large number of graphic artists for marketing and advertising because of how well-known Air Jordan became. I believe there was a period in which the yearly releases of sneakers necessitated the necessity for several graphic designers to create posters, ads, and packaging. especially considering how recognizable and dynamic the Air Jordan logo has become over time.
