Carowinds is an entertainment park that opened in 1969. By 1975 they had gone through great financial hardships because of the 1973 oil crisis. When this happened they sold Carowinds to Taft Broadcasting Company, Taft was a TV and radio broadcasting company that owned Hanna-Barbara productions and other entertainment parks
Looking at the graphic design of the cartoon strip the first panel with the title looks to be hand drawn. The block and bubble text do not look uniform and look like they were hand-drawn.
