ABC’s of Great Negroes
Charles Dawson was one of the only black artist/designer to have a substantial role in the 1933-34 time period. He designed, produced, and self-published a children’s book titled, ABCs of Great Negroes. It consisted of 26 influential African Americans and Africans, Men and Women, along with biography's for each. There is even a excerpt that explains why he chose to include Egyptians and Ethiopians. This is a great way for information to be spread of the influence of black people especially to children, to know leaders of color because they are under represented.
