I'm struck by so many things about this image: the ornate pointed pen work, the display typeface, the composition, but perhaps most of all how different a business college letterhead from 1882 differs from what we might see in our own era. Perhaps we've lost some elegance with today's clean, sanitized, modern design language for these types of institutions.
