Nasrin Khosravi (1951-2009), Graphic Designer and Illustrator

نسرین خسروی(۱۳۲۹-۱۳۸۹) طرا ح گرافیک و تصویرگر 

Nasrin Khosravi was born in Tehran in 1951 and she started painting in 1977 when she was a sophomore majoring in graphic design at the College of Fine Arts where she graduated in1980. Her first work was illustrating a book called "Friendship Story" written by Gadham Ali Sarami, which was published by Center for the Intellectual Development of Children and Adolescents. Her other works are "Children, you are free to do anything, and “Chef Squirrel". Khosravi started a new idea when designing her book  "The Most Beautiful Star in the World" which continued for years in her other books. The characters in these works easily floated in space, and according to her own words, she was influenced by Marc Chagall and Paul Klee. In 2001, Khosravi won the NOMA competition award for illustrating the book "The Girl of the Wish Garden" and in 2002, she was the Iranian candidate for the Hans Christian Andersen Award for her collection of works. She received many honorary diplomas and plaques from UNICEF, the Children's Book Council, and the Center for the Intellectual Development of Children and Adolescents. Nasrin Khosravi also taught illustration at the University of Arts. She passed away in Canada in 2009.

نسرین خسروی در سال ۱۳۲۹ در تهران به دنیا آمد و .او تصویرگری را از سال ۱۳۵۵ هنگامی كه دانشجوی سال دوم رشته ی گرافیك دانشكده ی هنرهای زیبا بود آغاز كرد و در سال ۱۳۵۸ فارغ‌التحصیل شد. نخستین كار او تصویرگری كتابی به نام "قصه دوستی" نوشته ی قدمعلی سرامی بود كه  كانون پرورش فكری كودكان و نوجوانان 
ان را منتشر کرد. اثار دیگر او "بچه ها شما در هر کاری آزادید" ,"سنجاب آشپز" هستند . خسروی در کتاب "زیباترین ستاره جهان" تجربه جدیدی را آغاز کرد که تا سال ها در کتاب های دیگرش ادامه داد. شخصیت ها در این آثار به راحتی در فضا شناورند و با گفته ی خودش  تحت تاثیر مارک شاگال و پل کلی بوده است. خسروی در سال ۱۳۷۹ برای  تصویرگری کتاب "دختر باغ آرزو" جایزه ی کنکور نوما را از آن خود کرد و در سال ۲۰۰۲ نامزد ایرانی جایزه ی هانس کریستین اندرسن برای مجموعه آثارش بود. او  برای بسیاری از آثارش از سوی یونیسف، شورای کتاب کودک و کانون پرورش فکری کودکان و نوجوانان نیز دیپلم‌‌های افتخار و لوح تقدیر دریافت کرد.  نسرین خسروی در رشته تصویرگری در دانشگاه هنر در مقطع فوق لیسانس  تدریس می کرد. او در سال  ۱۳۸۹ در کانادا درگذشت.
